Next to my Blood Angels and Emperor's Children, I wanted to paint some noble warriors of the 13th legion Ultramarines.
For the scheme I went with darkish blue, and strong yellow gold. With that, it's easy to go a quite clean look, which fits the Ultramarines, but not the vibe I'm looking for my army. That's why the heavy weathering and chipping. I want these guys to look battered after heavy fighting at Calth or other war zones the legion operated during the Heresy.
My aspirational plan is to build an army, combined with some Ultramar High Guard auxialia elements, going with siege and armoured warfare theme. This will be a nice contrast vs. the more fast attack and mobile Blood Angels and Emperor's Children.
